Julep Elsie Wonder Maven Holographic Jelly Review

I absolutely love the Julep Holographic shades and Elsie is my late Summer favorite. Elsie is a Strawberry Popsicle Holographic Jelly.

What’s to love?

This color is just magic! It’s got a red orange base with flecks of gold and purple which gives it the holographic effect.

I love how easy it is to apply and it dries with a very shiny finish. I also love that Julep nail polishes tend to last a little longer than most. I am wearing two coats in this photo.

It’s also a 5-free, vegan-friendly formula.

Deco Miami Nail Polish Review

I received a bottle the the Deco Miami Nail Polish in Feeling Fuego in my June Allure Beauty Box and it’s a neat nail polish that vegan and cruelty free.

What’s to love?

First up I love the packaging. You get a cute triangle box that houses the nail polish. The bottle is on the small side at 5.75 ml but there’s a neat story about this and it’s practical!

Deco Miami comes in tons of great shades and their Summer 2017 Collection is gorgeous. The color is amazingly pigmented and I only needed to apply one coat for full-coverage. I was also so impressed with how fast it dried and it dries hard, not goopy or soft.

I can’t wait to try more shades!

This nail polish is also free of DBP, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, camphor, parabens, xylene, ethyl tosylamide, and triphenyl phosphate (TPHP) and it’s Made in the USA!

Retail Price: $12.50

June 2017 Julep Box Review

June is my first Julep Box and I’m pretty exited about it. When I subscribed to Julep I got the 12 Rainbow Piece Polish Set for free and I love it! I also signed up for 3 months at $19.95 per month for the subscription box.

The June box is called “Bask in the Heat” I along with my 3 box selections I also chose to add 3 additional nail polishes for $9.99.

The way Julep works is they pick 3 products as part of your subscription and then you have about 4 days to “swap” out these selection which I did.

You also earn Jules that you can use to purchase more products!

Here’s what I got in my Box…

I got 2 nail polishes in Jaydra and Elsie. I also got the Your Happy Look – Clover Pink blush which I can’t to try out!

I also got the Fruit Stand Fiesta Mystery Trio which included Lori, Summer and Christa.

Finally I got a Free Polish with $10+ purchase coupon and an Atomic Fire Ball candy which I thought was cute.

Overall I’m really happy being a Julep Maven so far!

NCLA Nail Polish Pink Champagne Review

The NCLA Nail Polish is new to me but I’m hooked since I received Pink Champagne in my Glossybox Pink Diamond Box.

This 100% Vegan nail polish is free from Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, DBP, Toluene, Camphor, TPHP, OR XYLENE and Made in California.

What’s to love?

Aside from the vegan part I am loving this nail polish. The Pink Champagne shade is a light pink with a shimmery silver sheen. It goes on very smoothly and dries very fast. I found that two coats works better than one and it last a few days without chipping. When I did chip it I was able to apply a third coat to prolong the polish.

They also have a line of Holographic Shades that are gorgeous!

While it is a bit pricy I see that they have some outlet items on their site.

Price: $16

Londontown Lakur Enhanced Colour Nail Polish Review

I received the Londontown Lakur Enhanced Colour Nail Polish in the Cheerio shade in my March 2017 Allure Beauty Box, it retails for $16.

What’s to Love?

The Londontown nail polish is very, very smooth. It’s one of the easiest to apply polishes that I’ve used. I’d say it’s most comparable to Essie.

The Cheerio shade is vey light, it’s almost clear and can be used for a French manicure. This formula does have “enriching botanicals to hydrate and strengthen nails” and I’m hoping it does condition my nails as they are in rough shape from wearing glitter polish.

I polished my nails this morning as so far so good on no chipping too. I was fairly rough on them today too. The formula does has a strong scent to me, I feel like it’s a bit stronger than Essie.

Overall I’m impressed with this nail polish but it is pricey at $16.

It is also Vegan, Gluten-free, Cruelty-free.

The Londontown Nail Polish is part of my 2017 Allure Beauty Box YouTube Reveal.

Essie High Class Affair Nail Polish Review

The Essie High Class Affair is another shade that I picked up on sale for $2.25 last week. It’s from the Spring 2016 line and Essie calls it a amorous blush nude.

What’s to love?

I am really loving the light Essie shades I picked up for Spring. I also got Going Guru which is light green last week when it was snowing but luckily the snow is gone now!

The High Class Affair shade is neutral with hints of pink, peach and coral and it looks really pretty on my nails. I love this color for Summer. It’s also easy to touch up so I get long wear from this one. I like Essie because it doesn’t chip very much. I do use two coats as one is a bit patchy for me.

Essie Going Guru Nail Polish Review

The Essie Going Guru nail polish shade is from the 2016 Resort collection but I think it’s perfect for St. Patrick’s Day and Spring! However it doesn’t look too Springy with all this snow.

What’s to love?

Going Guru is a beautiful mint green. It actually looks like the green in mint chocolate chip ice cream. It’s light and looks like it has a white base. I feel like this a great Spring shade and I got great coverage with two coats. One coat looks a bit patchy so you’ll probably need two coats for the best look.

Essie is one of my favorite higher end nail polish brands and I was lucky enough to scoop up some 2016 shades for $2.25 each this morning at the grocery store. Essie retails for $9 so I felt like I hit the jackpot with this discount.

Essie usually lasts me 3-5 days with touch-ups and stays fresh looking while I have it on. It a nice medium consistency that brushes on very smoothly too.

Morgan Taylor Beauty And The Beast Nail Polish Review

I was at Ulta today and the Morgan Taylor Beauty And The Beast Nail Polish Collection immediately caught my eye. The collection includes 6 shades inspired by the new Beauty and the Beast movie that comes on March 17, 2017. There’s also an Enchanted Patina that you can use as a top coat.

The shades are:

  • The Last Petal: Deep Red
  • Be Our Guest: Hot Pink
  • Plumette With Excitement: Pale Pink
  • Gaston And On And On: Pale Blue
  • Days In The Sun: Pale Yellow
  • Potts Of Tea: White

I got the Plumette With Excitement Shade.

This shade is very opaque and it’s a bit hard to apply because if you get it off the nail it looks sloppy. I need to do a little clean up on my nails. Over than that it’s a truly beautiful shade. I did need two coats because one is a little streaky. I actually think this would be a great shade for toenails in the summer.

I also love the Morgan Taylor bottles. They have a heavy glass bottom that feels very luxurious.

You can also add a patina over every shade for an antique bronzed look.
