Urban Decay Perversion Mascara Review

This Urban Decay Perversion Mascara was part of my August 2016 Sephora Play Box and I love it! I am such a huge fan of the Urban Decay brand and this mascara does not disappoint.

What’s to love?

When I first got the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara I was a bit worried that it would be too thick and dark based on the marketing. I’m not going clubbing anytime soon and I was concerned that I might get funny looks at the grocery store in a mascara called Perversion, but I was completely wrong!

Perversion is a full on awesome mascara that gives big, dark beautiful lashes. The large fuzzy wand makes application a breeze even for people like me that sometimes have a hard time applying mascara.

In the photo below I applied one coat to my right eye and two coats to the left. You can see that the left eye is more dramatic but still very nice for daytime wear. I am wearing Rhinestone from the Too Faced Country Palette with this look.

Perversion feels very creamy and light despite having a heavier look on the wand. I could see the product on the wand but it still applied very easily with no clumping. The smell is typical mascara. I swear all mascara smells the same to me and it dried fast and felt very moisturizing on my eyes.

According to Urban Decay Perversion contains “marine glycogen”which is supposed to stimulate lash growth which is a neat feature too.

I would absolutely get this in the full-sized version although I do love the sample sizes. I wish cosmetic companies would sell 3 sample-sized products for the same price as a full-sized one, then we could use one each month for 3-months.

Full-Sized Price: $22

  1. Have you tried Avon brand Wide Awake mascara? It’s on sale this month for $5.99 but at its $8 price that’s way cheaper than the high end brands . I love to follow posts like yours to compare high en products with Avon .
